I searched and searched and could not fit a gown that checked all the boxes for me. I was getting nervous.... I wanted my dress to be everything; classy but a little sexy, glamorous & fashion-forward but timeless... oh and also cute! I didn't want a ball gown, but I still wanted to feel like I was wearing a wedding dress and not a sexy slip. I went to every trunk show for every big bridal designer, but didn't feel the spark. I had always loved Inbol Dror and kept going back so it finally hit me, I decided to combine two Inbol Dror gowns (I loved the top of one and the over skirt of another) so for 8 months I was freaking out, but they pulled it off completely!!! I think its the smallest designer size a 2/4 but I will double check and confirm. This dress is everything and more... its a good shape to feel all of the above due to the material... definitely not a ball gown but not a sheath, maybe more of a modified a-line?
This is a CUSTOM Inbol Dror evening wear collection gown (originally designed in black) converted into a wedding gown. I ordered it in ivory, lined the bodice, and added substantial length to create an impactful train. The under skirt was sent long (not like the mini in the photo, so that we could alter to a length of preference).
I am only selling the over skirt portion because I loved it so much, but what am I going to do with it now? Unless maybe I receive an offer that I cannot refuse for the bodice too. That being said, the over skirt can be put on any bodice of your choice it is that versatile and can be removed whenever you like. I also added invisible buttons to the front so it can be closed if/when desired. Its the perfect gown to have multiple looks in. I closed it for the ceremony (look #1) and opened it for the party! (look #2).I removed the over skirt much later on in the evening and threw on a lightweight tea length soft tulle skirt that carefree and easy and very Dior !(Look #3). You don't need to invest in an outfit change so this dress was worth every penny!
